BOTM: OPEN X GELATERIA DI BERNA - PART 2

Andy Kessler - 13-Sep-2023
So, how do you get a dutch person to Basel ?

Offer free ice cream and a swim in the Rhine river...!!!

As mentioned in my previous blog we have a pretty nice office location. Whenever we have Gerard in town we either go for a swim in the Rhine river (summer) or organise a Crossfondue ride (winter). Now we have one more argument to bring him over. Free ice cream from the Gelateria di Berna!

Originally the idea of that colab was, that we offer a custom painted bike and a year of free ice cream.. Now the Gelateria die Berna is closing soon for the winter break ...

I did not mention to Gerard that the Gelateria is looking for somebody that makes a pop up store during the winter. I am sure he would have wanted to open a pop-up fondue place...

If you are interested in a custom painted OPEN (we can do also other flavours by now) then just contact me. I am sure we can talk with the Gelateria guys to get free ice cream for next year also.

Enjoy the beauty pics...

Not to mention the beautiful geometry and paint job, I love your bike knob as a mounting rack. Looks wood. What and where can I get? I ride an OPEN Wide in Bend Oregon.

Dear Marguerite, so far no plans yet.. If we ever would do it would be something really special not just plugging on of the existing solutions on a frame.... Lets see never say no...

I'm out for a new stunning light gravel machine next spring and would choose the UPPER even if the frame ist some years old. But competitors moved on, especially with the S-Works Crux. Can i expect some kind of answer by OPEN i.e. a new UPPER (UPPEST? *g*). I can't buy a Specialized for let's say some strange political attitude by their "engineer" P. Denk. Please Help me! Cheers!
